Scorpions : la dernière piqûre

Alors que tous les fans attendent le nouvel album « Sting in tail » prévu pour le 19 mars prochain, Scorpions vient d’annoncer que ce serait le dernier.
En effet, le groupe vient de poster sur son site officiel un communiqué dont voici l’extrait :
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR FANS
“It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you – whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs.
While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process. But there was also something else: We want to end the Scorpion’s extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we’ve always had since the beginning. This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years.
We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years!

Scorpions reste pour le grand public le groupe qui a écrit les classiques « still loving you » en 1984 ou quelques années plus tard « wind of change », (symbole de la chute du mur de Berlin) mais c’est avant tout un groupe qui a plus de 40 ans de carrière, pas loin de 100 millions d’albums vendus à travers le monde et une grosse popularité. Ils pourront tester celle ci auprès du public lors des trois prochaines années, période qui est prévue pour une tournée mondiale, une sorte de tournée d’adieu !

La retraite n’est donc pas vraiment pour tout de suite pour Klaus Meine and co et le groupe a prévu 3 dates pour le public français :
– 19 mai : Paris, Olympia,
– 21 mai : Liévin, Stade de Liévin
– 22 mai : Strasbourg, Zénith
